Bergtrotte Osterfingen
The stately Bergtrotte, the landmark of Osterfingen, bears witness to many years of winegrowing culture. It dates back to the year 1584. In the course of the centuries, it was enlarged to its present size. Until the invention of the Räderjoch press, the grapes were pressed through heavy tree grates. While elsewhere buildings like this one disappeared, the Osterfinger Trotte survived. After the abolition of the "Trottenzwang" it changed from state ownership into private hands.
The restaurant, named after the year it was built in 1584, offers regional delicacies as they were prepared by the grandmother.
